Grander Weight Angler Location Date Blue Marlin 1150 Jimmy Fernandez Kaneohe, Oahu 00/00/79 Jimmy Fernandez was fishing along on his MAUI MAIDEN when he caught a 515-lb blue marlin on a lure. He put the lure back in the water and hooked a marlin more than twice that size on the same day on the same lure. Jimmy was assisted at the gaffing by Bobby Bator who jumped from the NANI JEAN to the MAUI MAIDEN. Sharks took bites from this fish as it was being towed to Kaneohe for weighing.
