I saw the school of uouoa (sharpnose mullet) running through the surf and didn't have my tabis or glasses handy. I grabbed my wife's thrownet and was able to get out to them before they passed by.
I threw the net and quickly jumped in. The depth was about 5 feet. The waves were pounding and the net was getting stuck on the bottom, but I was able to pick up some ono fish for dinner for the family.
I used the scale at KTA Keahou, and it weighed 1.12-lbs, with a length of 13.25 inches and a girth of 8 inches.
