Capt. Sonny Rellin of the 24-foot Skipjack LEILA R ran over this monster while trolling 15 to 20 miles outside of Waianae. The marlin ate an Abru aku head style lure rigged on 130-lb test and was caught on the first day of the Pokai Bay Bonanza Jackpot. A larger grander was caught the next day in the tournament but the LEILA R won the event because they'd also caught a spearfish and it was a total weight event.
