Back on September 22, 2016 my friend Kevin and I decided to go fishing at our favorite spot on Kauai. The water was really ruff this night and the moon was perfect.
My first tako slide got hit, and I fought the fish for 25 minutes on 80 lb test. We had a hard time gaffing it because of the heavy waves and surge, but landed it and celebrated. We knew the fish was a 100 pounder because of how fat it was. This was my second 100-plus ulua.
