Arriving at South Point, Patricio Tsue and his dad were shocked to see huge surf rolling into the bay. Undaunted, Patricio set up their poles and sent down a live kupipi that his dad caught for bait. In short order, Patricio's bell sounded and the fight was on. Despite the massive swells and getting stuck under a rock at the end of the battle, Patricio and his dad landed the 104-lb 14-oz "big boy." Patricio used a medium action, 12-foot 6-inch Nitro pole, Newell 454 reel and 60-lb test Ande line.
