Brennan Hozaki, age 11, broke his own state record in less than four months' time. Brennan was diving at Camp 1 near Sprecklesville, Maui on Maui when he stalked and shot his state record bandtail goatfish using his 6-foot Seahorse graphite spear. He weighed his fish at New Maui Fishing Supply.
Here's his story: "On Friday, March 27, 2009, my grandma took me diving at Camp 1. While I was outside the reef a big school of obake wekes swam in front of me. So, I cocked my three prong and swam down to take a shot. I ended up stoning him. After that, I secured it on my float kui and swam in."
